My Dear Son G,
Your favour of the 8th Instant came
to hand only last Wednesday. I had almost though you had
forgot you had a Mother but I am so willing to think
the best that as soon as I read its contents I forgot
all my hard feelings ---My Dear G if you knew
how much I think of a few lines you would certainly
improve every opportunity I am as lonely as if I had
no friends it is now eight months since your Sister

left home it apearse to me sometimes as if I could not
stand it---Did Cor know my feelings on the subject
perhaps she would feel different than she does at
present but I dont wish her to known anything
about my feelings I will never give her one pang
unnecessary I woud do her any kindness in my power
rathe than hurt her feelings---But O O how
hard to have her torne away from a mother that
loves her so Dearly.

Dear Georg you tell me you are pleasd with the
Episcopalian Church it is no matter what a person
is cald or what we call ourselves the great object is
to live up to our profession. The Doctrines of
the Episcoppal as far as I am a Judg is very pure
only live up to those rules I think you will
enjoy a Quiet Conference & be a good member
of Society but sure & undefiled Religion is
the only thing that can make a person happy
in this ^life^ & the next.
I do sincerely hope
that you will make it the object of your purpose
it takes no time it cost no money it breaks no
rest & there is nothing in life so pleasant to the
feelings as to think I am in the Path of Duty

leisure a time again as the presint to read &
meditate & think of things of Futurity
& that you may improve those priveledg
