My dear Wm Henry Florida 9 Aug 1831
Yours of the 2nd of Aug Preclosing an
appointment to the National convention
at Baltimore by the central comt of the state
has been received. My sentiments on the
subject of FreeMasonry are well known.
Since the establishment of our paper I
have been constantly in hopes the A.M.
would organize and call a county Mt.g
No move has yet been made. This according
to my view of the subject ought to be done
before the meeting of the Nat. convention
Was this done and the appointments made
by the Central Comt — approved of I would
attend the convention. I will see some
of the leading A M and endeavor to get up
a meeting. In the mean time it would
be well for the C. Comt or yourself to write
to a number of men in the County proposing
this measure — I will give the Central
Comt the earliest notice of my views on this
subject and through you take pleasure
in acknowledging the honor confered
by the Central Committee —

unwell has been ill since and on Sunday
evening expired with a confirmed Nervous
fever. The family are well.
