New Burgh Thursday morn nov
My dear Henry
I have only just time to tell you that
thro’ toils & troubles inumumerable I have arrived safe
at our good friendMr H
last night have got up to take the stage this
morning to get home as soon as possible & this
Ends my pilgrimage abroad – I cannot think
of even going more than 10 miles from
home again – I was very much surprised to
get up & find my hair not white this
morning – we Col Brett
some other time) handed me on shore took good
care of me & my baggage I finally paid my
porter which I forgot to do altho Mr S
reminded me on leaving the Boat

I have not time to say one word of this
kindness received from Mr & Mrs S
you will take the first opportunity of acknowl-
edging & thanking them
Make my best love to all, I shall
write as soon as I find a resting place
& tell you more of the real horrors of traveling
as ever your own Sister
