Auburn December 30, 1837.
My dear Jennings,
Safe arrived last night – found all well.
Found a letter from New York requiring me to be at
Philadelphia on the 26 th instant, and saying my
arrangement could then be made.
Hard as it is I leave on the 1st prox. Say to Mr
Rumsey
be returned to New York & glad to see him at the
City Hotel. Direct letters for me to care of Am.
Trust Co. New York.
