Dear Henry
I have seen Mr Duer
a long interview with him, spent a little
season with Mrs Blatchford
few moments since with her good hus-
band
day by reporting to you. Mr Duer, I
think is well pleased, with the posture
of affairs as now existing & contempla-
ted, and I am more than pleased with
in the opportunities I have engaged with
her, with Mrs Blatchford. I hope
Fanny
. I think they will love each other much.
I suppose I have gotten all that
is now to be had from Mr Duer for
the present.
1st – He will credit us with the
amount of funds deposited to the cred-
it of the Trust Co in the Chautauque
Co Bank, upon the day of the deposite
- provided I first make an arrangement
with the Bank to send him a check
for such sums, in New York at 30 or 40

after the lapse of 30 or 40 days.
2d He will appoint me as special
agent to execute the deeds now due
upon presentation of a list of the lots
& this list must form part of the pow-
er of attorney – or allow Mr Robinson
yourself to do so after he is gone
which is the same thing as doing it
himself. He will do the same thing
upon presentation of lists of Articles
and discharges, & I am expected
to prepare such lists on my return
home.
3d. He requires a full report
of all monies received – T.R. Name, Acres
amt &c – monthly – from which he will
make entries of principal & interest
separately, on the Bonds of the proprietors
respectively.
4. He must have a new mort-
gage, annual int
direct to the Trust Co – expressing that
it is taken on lieu of the old one – the
form to be given me tomorrow- a cer-
tificate from someone employed to
make a search of prior liens in

our county & the oath of the party that
there are no judgments.
5 He will send his son
to examine the value – first correspond-
ing as to the preparation that is made
by appraisers of our selection to advise
with him.
6 He will have Mr Thornton
go over certain papers & statements
shown him this evening – to bring our
books to be alike, after he
is gone.
7 Mr Blatchford to draw
the Power of Attorney.
Other matters of minor mo-
ment, I will explain to you.
It seems to me that he has ren-
dered this matter unnecessarily dif-
ficult, but this I did not contest
in the least with him, leaving
you to battle the watch with him
on his return.
Pray let Mrs Blatchfords boy
home a couple of days to gladden the
heart of a fond mother
