My dear Jennings,
Your letter of the 13th instant was received. The $1000 was placed to my credit
in the Com. Bank last week. The above will probably carry on through till that date.
Please accept it and send it to James Taylor Esq.
I wrote to our Father
night, stop at Florida on my return from there. My business now that the election is over
and a message to be written is more oppressive than ever. This is the only letter I have
written without an amanuensis within ten days. I laid aside the Censor's obituary notice
for insertion in the Journal. It is very long & in Weed
day to day as I was unwilling to abridge it. It will appear there.
N. P. Tallmadge
Your affectionate brother
William H. Seward
