Hopkinton Saturday 1842
My Dear Uncle,
I received your kind letter this
morning and thought I would answer today
as I think I shall go to Woodville to Church
tomorrow I am very much obliged to uncle

this kind letter. I wrote to Aunty

last Sunday
but have recieved no answer. I shall write
to Aunty Worden

today. We have had two or
three

today so that we have a fire & am in hopes
that It will clear off and be warm.
I asked Mr. Dole

would take me to enter college and he
replied that I could go in 2 years and no sooner!

and I was 13 last October so that I shall be 16
years old before I can enter I get along the slowest here
of any school that I ever went too. I was quite home-
sick yesterday but feel better now. I am going to
Boston next Saturday with Mr. Parmely

go very much but I do not think he can well spare
the money and unless he presses me very hard to go
I shall not go. Will Uncle please to tell me in his next
if I can get money of Mr. Parmely to get a sumer hat
and my boots mended. Please give my love to Henry
