Cape Fear May 29th 1846.
My Dear Augustus,
On the way homeward after my
long journey in the South West I find the beau Mr
S.J. Koockagey
Birth: 1828-04-15 Death: 1889
a young gentleman going to West
Point to enter the Military Academy. He says
he has no acquaintance there, and fears that
he may need advice and information –
I commend him to your respectful attention
It is hardly possible that I will be able to stop at
the Point –
Affectionately
William H. Seward
Augustus H. Seward.
