Summerville June 12 1849
Dear Sister
I have thought for a long time I would
write to you as my brother
in business and when he does write I need an interpreter to
know whether you are all well. Our family are all well at present
I took Frances

to much he was at Goshen twice last week his new house keeper
morning. She is between 50 & 60 looks smart and healthy. Mr.Greene
bring some of ^his^ folks out in the morning to induct her into business.

vacation and were highly delighted with there visit. Dr. Cummin’s

Dr Cummin in Florida church soon the scholl is not as good this
summer as usual. Mary A and Frederick W.

heard that I have married again and to whom this for my children
and self are well satisfied with this and I hope by the blessing of
a wise providence it will prove a blessing to all the connecxions of
the family. People are getting alarmed about the colera. My
Farm is put out again this year but we are milking one cow
and making our own butter. Father has got to be very childish
and forgetfull which makes it a great task for G.W. and all others with
him. write me a letter and tell me where your boys are how Clarence
is getting along where my brother is and when you expect to come to
Orange County. Our RRoad is now open to Oswego and it will make you
a short and pleasant trip if you should come that way our country
looks very fine except the corn crop and the prospect for everything
else is very good should the summer favour it the corn may be
a good crop yet. Mrs Seward
