Dear Fanny
I wish you were
here to day to see how very
beautifully Willie’s
is looking – he is out of
his cage and flies all
around – When he is tired &
hungry he lights upon the
ground and eats the crumbs
of bread I throw down
for him – The other night
it was so cold and rainy
I was afraid he would
freeze, so I had John
catch him and put him

in the cage – but he
was so discontented &
pecked at the liner of his
cage so constantly I let
him out again the
next morning – Trip
is well but he has
the pouts because
I told Willie he has a
dear little bird –
Anna
Love and says she
wants to see you very
much –
Your affectionate
Aunty
