My Dear Sister
On the 18th of this month my
marriage with Miss Julia C. Humphrey
of Owego is to take place.
In reference to this event it may
be proper for me to say that while I have
sought to suit myself I have endeavored
to keep in view that which I conceive
to be the rights and best interest of my
children and while I have not asked
advice of friends I have sought wisdom
from him who giveth liberally and
upbradeth not.
Miss Humphry is worthy as I
believe of the respect and confidence of
all who have any right or interest
involved in it

Immediately on the close of the cer-
emony we shall leave on a jaunt the
direction and extent of which is not
yet determined and return to Florida
where we shall be gratified to see our
friends.
