My dear uncle,
I thank you sincerely for the
evidence of kindly interest in myself which
your letter affords. I should not have added
to your already accumulated cares had
I not been a necessitated so to do by an
unfortunate disappointment. My note
falls due April 16 1855. If I could have
about three months more lee way I
think I could manage it alone.
It seems to me to be to ask
you to go to Florida on my account,
and if I could arrange it by going
There myself and then coming to Au-
burn I would gladly do so, especially
to save you a journey and an unwel-
come absence from home.
Ever gratefully
Your Nephew
Clarence A. Seward
