Sunday evening
My dear Son,
Your letter came
yesterday – it is always
pleasant to see the
writing of my children –
it makes them seem nearer
and gives me some assurn
assurance of thier welfare –
Aunty
Birth: 1803-11-01 Death: 1875-10-03
will tell you
more than I can write –
Father
Birth: 1801-05-16 Death: 1872-10-10
left no overcoat
at home except that
old one which you
wore to the fire– I
thought you had one
better with you but
if you need another
I wish you to have
it – You certainly
require more than your
shawl – I wish
you or Fred would
write me a line
how Aunty gets along –
I hope she may have
fine weather like
this day –
God bless you
Mother –
