My dearest Henry
Your letter of Sunday
came yesterday – this
morning the beautiful
lines of Whittier
which Fanny
to place with her treasures –
I did expect you to
come home after I
went to Albany and
found how impossible
it was for you to leave
just now — I hope
you may get away
for a few days previous
to the 4th of March

I fear such constant
confinement & labour
will make you sick –

to him — I think
it better to wait for

is done about the
house or furniture —
Anna’s taste & judgement
in such matters
is excellent —

last morning – the rail
road seems in a very
unsafe condition from
the snow & exceedingly
cold weather —
accidents are happening
