Washington June 5 1864
My dear Son,
We have heard nothing from
you since we parted here and we
do not doubt that you are as much
grieved by hearing nothing from us.
Jenny
Birth: 1839-11-18 Death: 1913-11-09
went home with the your little
daughter
Birth: 1862-09-11 Death: 1921-10-05
on Monday. The latter seemed
to droop for a few days and I
advised that she be taken to her
healthier native climate. I hear
that both are now very well.
Your mother
Birth: 1805-09-24 Death: 1865-06-21
writes that she is
very well and Fanny
Birth: 1844-12-09 Death: 1866-10-29
also.
Your Aunt Lazette
Birth: 1803-11-01 Death: 1875-10-03
is not so well.

I hear nothing of a business nature
from home.
I wish I could certainly
know that your health is equal
to the taxation levied upon it.
May God bless and preserve
you my dear son.
William H Seward
