Auburn July 10th
My dear Henry
For a day or two past
Fanny
Birth: 1844-12-09 Death: 1866-10-29
’s condition seemed more un-
favorable. She had fever and con-
sequent prostration. Yesterday her
fever left here & thus far today –
– it is now 12 clock – it has not
returned. She drove out yester
& felt invigorated by the fine
air, which with us is delightfully
cool and bracing. Today
she will go out again. I will
keep you advised of her condi-
tion from day to day as faithfully
as I can & as truthfully as I have
the ability to judge. The other
members of the family are well.
Shared this morning your letter

birth-
day. How often I thought of him
& how thankful I feel that his
precious life was spared.
They tell me that yesterday was
the day appointed for removing
that frame from your face – we
are anxiously wishing to hear
of its perfect success.
With kind remembrances from
all to you all I am very
affectionately your
Sister
Please say to Harriet

that
Nicholas
Birth: 1801-12-24 Death: 1893-02-15
is well & we are all
taking good care of him.
