My dear Jenny
Father
had a good night and
is stronger this morning
Dr Norris
as good a night to night
he will be out of danger
If such be the case
I shall start for home
via New York tomorrow night
reaching Auburn probably on
Friday morning. I don't
recollect whether I mentioned
it before but Fathers illness
was an undoubted attack of

cholera, so desperate
at Harrisburgh that
there was no hope of
his recovery. Harriet
remain until Father is well
again. Fanny
remarkably well since she
arrived and I hope the
beautiful weather we find
here will do her good. She
gives up her Western trip for
the present. Mary Grier
is here and will stay with
Fanny until next week
