My dear Cousin,
I have a great deal to tell you.
The Giraffe has been here. There were three other
animals beside the Giraffe. Theire names were the Ibex
of the Egyptians, the Gazelle and the Syrian Goat. The
Ibex is of a brownish color with long horns The Gazelle
is a pretty animal with short straight horns. The
Syrian Goat has horns about two inchihes long. It is
cooted with long black hair. This Giraffe is thirteen
feet high. There was an eclipse Tues day but
we could not see it because it was cloudy.
Kitty is very well now and has caught two
mice and one rat.
Your affectionate cous[ in ]
Reason: wax-seal
Frederick.
