My dear Mother,
I have been
much delayed in
moving by the breaking
up of the ice. The
only communication
with Rensselaer Co is by Troy– which
is almost too far
to send heavy loads
of furniture.
There is however not
more than two loads
of furniture left
besides the kitchen
things. Everything
is packed except
the china glass &
cooking utensils in
daily use.
Molly was with
me last week. We
went to Meadow-
Brook on Saturday.

Albany, and has engag-

she is anxious to go
tomorrow or Wednesday.
I think of shuting
up the house this
week, putting the
furniture in one room
to be removed when
the Ferry opens.
