My dear Father
I was very glad
to receive your letter, also the
one from the Compte de Paris
Birth: 1838-08-24 Death: 1894-09-08
which I had not much trouble
in reading or rather under-
standing – and which I shall
prize very much. Today
Mother
Birth: 1805-09-24 Death: 1865-06-21
has a letter from Gus
Birth: 1826-10-01 Death: 1876-09-11
, and one from Anna
Birth: 1834-03-29 Death: 1919-05-02
en- closing that of Mrs Adams
Birth: 1808-04-25 Death: 1889-06-06
– Last evening the box of Roman
pearls arrived – how hand-
some they are – we have all
been admiring them, and
are rather expecting a letter
from Anna telling us about
them. I suppose she is at
her Mother’s
Birth: 1812-10-29 Death: 1889-10-09
by this time. Mother is at Pisgah, attend-
ing a meeting of the Sam-
aritan sewing society– Fran-
ces Chesebro

is there with Frank

. Wednesday morning.
The tea bell interrupted me
in writing last night. This
morning a is mild and very
pleasant – a flock of birds took
this occasion to go in search
of winter quarters, and passed
with a great deal of twitter-
ing half an hour ago –
Frances goes at two o’clock
today.
With much love from all
Your very affectionate little girl
Fanny
