Biography

Hollis White was a close family friend and political supporter of Seward. By 1847, he was the proprietor of the Eagle Hotel in Niagara Falls. He served as a New York Assemblyman in 1849 and later was associated with the banking and exchange firm of Riddle & Co., Niagara Falls.
