Biography

In 1862 Colonel Charles C. Dwight was given the authority to recruit soldiers in the 25th Senatorial District of the State, creating the 106th Infantry Regiment. It was organized at Auburn, NY mustered for a three year term. Later in life he was a chief justice of the Supreme Court before he died. He also served as District Attorney of Cayuga County for 2 years.
