William Williams

Biography
William Williams was born in Framingham, Massachusetts. He moved to Utica in 1800 to become a printer's apprentice, In 1807 he partnered with Asahel Seward, although that partnership terminated in 1824. Williams was a publisher of books, a newspaper proprietor, and a bookseller. He was a captain of a company of volunteers in the War of 1812. He married Sophia Wells, and had one child, Robert Stanton Williams. Link to his biography in citation notes for further information.
