Biography

Moses Hicks Grinnell was a US politician who represented the Whig Party in New York's third congressional district from 1849 to 1841. In 1838, Grinnell was implicated in an election fraud case along with Samuel Blatchford, Simeon Draper, James Bowen, and R.C Wetmore. Later, in 1871, WSJ wrote that Grinnell took it hard when President Grant removed him from his position as Collector of the Port.
