      Her husband was a Harvard-educated doctor (Dr. Edward Hall) who was once Superintendent of the State Insane Asylum for convicts in New York. He had gone to Italy for his health and died suddenly while there. Harriet died in Dresden, Germany in 1872, where she worked as Governess and interpreter for two young ladies. "She was an apt scholar, highly educated and could converse in several different languages". (Her father, Rev. Isaac Robinson, was considered a gifted Hebrew scholar, and she likely grew up practicing language skills in her home.)
