Josiah Olmstead Brown (1783-1852) — also known as Josiah O. Brown — of New York. Born in Williamstown, Berkshire County, Mass., July 12, 1783. Member of New York state assembly from Montgomery and Hamilton counties, 1831. Died in Oppenheim, Fulton County, N.Y., January 27, 1852 (age 68 years, 199 days). Interment at Hewitt Cemetery.
