Biography
Married Benjamin Franklin's only daughter, Sally. Franklin appointed Bache as secretary, comptroller, and register-general of Post Office on 29 September 1775. Appointed as Postmaster General on 7 November 1776, which he maintained until January 1782. Managed Franklin family affairs in later part of life and died on his farm, "Settle," outside Philadelphia on the Delaware River.
