Biography

Wife: Maria L. Dey. Children: Henry and Anthony. Went with his father to Geneva, N.Y. He graduated at Hamilton College in 1821, where he received the Degree of Master of Arts in 1824, studied theology at Princeton, and was tutor in the College of N.J. from 1825 to 1827. At the organization of the Second Presbyterian Church of Auburn, N.Y., on Nov. 10, 1830, he became pastor and continued in that 
position till Jan. 19, 1836, when ill health compelled him to resign. He moved to Newark, N.J., and took charge of a school for a short time, and then moved to Paterson, where he died in 1837.
