Biography

"Caleb O. Daughaday moved from Maryland to Pennsylvania, where he bought mills and later removed to a farm adjoining that of William Crossgrove in Ripley Chautauqua CO NY . He lived in the village from 1836 to 1872, when his death occurred. He was an associate judge of the court of common pleas, and a man greatly respected.
