This Caroline Smith was initially thought to be Henry C Smith of Auburn's wife, as a Caroline is mentioned in letter's tied to Henry Smith. However, the ancestry links show a Caroline Smith married to a different Henry C Smith who was a fisherman living downstate. Emaline Prime Smith was married to Henry C Smith of Auburn. It is possible they had a daughter named Caroline, but it is not this Caroline.
