Biography

George Rooker served in the Ninth New York Heavy Artillery with William Seward. He enlisted at 19. The Ninth New York Heavy Artillery fought for the Union during the Civil War. A "Rooker" is mentioned in William Seward's letters home from battle which could be George Rooker or Henry Rooker as of now (more information needed). George Rooker survived the war and married Mary Rooker, with whom he had 6 children.
