Thomas Francis Bayard

Biography
Thomas Bayard served as a Senator for Delaware. He studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1851. He was elected as a Democrat to the United States Senate in 1869 and re-elected in 1875 and 1881. In 1885 he became Secretary of State in the Cabinet of President Grover Cleveland, and was Ambassador to Great Britain from 1893-1897.
