Father of James Mortimer Rathbone of Geneva College.

Hiram Rathbone lived with his wife, Pamela, in Auburn in the 1830s and presumably the 1840s. His son Theodore was born in Auburn.
Hiram Rathbone is also most likely the Hiram Rathbone who served as Warden of the Auburn State Prison from 1846-48. And was "forced out of his job" after being indicted for man-slaughter in the 4th degree, in the case of convict Plumb.
