Biography

Not much biographical information is known about Caroline Hulbert. She is mentioned to be the daughter of Robert Dill which makes her the sister of Jane Perry, Deborah Bronson, and John Dill. She was with her father and brother John when the family moved to Auburn in 1806 meaning Caroline was born the latest in 1806. Sometime around 1823 she married a John Hulbert. It is believed that Caroline might have died sometime between 1838 and 1844. The reason is she is mentioned in 18380514FMS_LMW1 and yet if her husband is the John Philip Hulbert in drupal, she would have needed to have died before 1844 which is when John has a child with his wife Angelica. Unfortunately no sources can be found pertaining to Caroline's death or when John Philip Hulbert got married.

According to Scott W. Anderson's Auburn, NY: The Entrepreneurs Frontier (2015) Caroline married John Hulbert who was a lawyer and son of Colonel John Hulbert (p. 58). Caroline was half sister to Cornelia Pitney and according to FMS in 18380514FMS_LMW, loved her like a sister. Caroline's mother married Joseph Pitney.
