Biography

George S. Porter was a vestryman in 1829 & was the second rector at Trinity. 

Died- In Prenceville, Peoria Co., Ill. May 22, 1864, Rev. George S. Porter, brother of Joseph, John and Ira Porter, of this village, aged 64 years and 6 months. He was an ordained minister in the Protestant Episcopal Church, but his labors in its service have for several years been suspended by ill health. He was a very worthy man, exemplifying in a quiet and unostentatious manner and meekness and goodness of a humble Christian.

He was married to Celina St. John on 10 FEB 1835 in South Danby, Tomkins Co..
