She was with the Sewards in early 1864 in Washington based on a newspaper article  in the Evening Star of January 26, 1864, where she is mentioned and in 18640211FAS_FMS. Not much has been discovered yet about her life, but her parents' life is well documented. Her father was Miles H. Perry (1818-Jan 1886) from Auburn, NY. Her mother was Jane Abigail Robinson (October 4, 1819-February 12, 1898). Miles and Jane married on November 12, 1839. Miles appears to have been both a banker and a tanner according to census data. Jane Abigail Robinson was a member of the Martha Washington Society in Auburn and a founder, along with FMS, of the Ladies Union Aid Society.
