Biography

James Stuart was crowned King of Scotland when he was 13 months old. When Elizabeth I died in 1603 he also became the King of England. He reigned over England and Scotland until he died in 1625. He married Anne of Denmark, with whom he had three children: Henry Frederick, Prince of Wales, Elizabeth, and Charles, his successor. King James was a great literary patron.
