Wife of Owen Gavigan, Civil War Captain in the 19th NY regiment, mentioned by Frances Seward in a letter to Henry Seward, September 28 1862, as requesting a pass from Henry to see her husband, who 'mutinied' along with much of the 19th regiment, due to not being released after the 3 month draft period ended. Arrested in August 1861 as a result of this incident.
