Biography

Duncan Nathaniel Ingraham was a Captain in the United States, and later the Confederate States, Navy. He reisgned from his U.S. Navy position in April 1861 after his home state of South Carolina seceded, and was the commandant of the Charleston station from 1862 to 1865.
