Biography

Elias Wright was a civil engineer who became a Union Army officer in the Civil War. He was appointed Major, Colonel and Lieutenant Colonel, and was in brigade command of multiple divisions in the duration of the Civil War. He is mentioned in Frances "Fanny" Adeline Seward's 1860 diary.
