Emma Stebbins was an American sculptor best known for her work "Angel of the Waters," also known as Bethesda Fountain, which is located in Central Park in New York City. She was the sister of Civil War Colonel Henry George Stebbins, and was romantically involved for many years with Charlotte Cushman, an actress who was friends with the Sewards.
