Honored Father
I have only time to say that
I this moment recd a letter from Israel
S. dated 4 Feb, in which he says, he
has no news from Pollydore
tenor of his letter, I do not doubt him.
I have been wishing to write, but
had no time — just recd an instalment
& next week we have an election — which
makes me a deal of labour in the
stock accounts.
I have not been Idle in Conciliar
affairs. Have written long & forcibly
to Harry
two letters from Fred Betts
him here next Thursday.
Cornelia
Yours in haste — 3 March
