My Dear Henry
Yours of the 11th Inst
Will has been received. The motion to amend
made by Bradner
S Seward and Others – directed to New Alby
and not to the Judges. The Judges refused
to make any further return or affidavid
on this kind of motion. Van Duzer
and myself Made an Affidavid in [ substan ]

that the return is full and complete
according to our best knowledge & belief
and further that the charge of favor
or corruption is totally unfounded
Van Duzer was on his way to Albany
to resist when I received your letter – he
and your Agent will I hope confer
together. I am anxious to hear the result
V Duzer will in future have the charge
of the business here. Will you get copies
of the papers and confer with him for I
again repeat that I have not the least confi-
dence. The Court of Errors meet early in
Dicember we wish you to bring Frances
down to stay with us that short time.
Let us know where & Washington
meet her in Albany – be particular as
to the day and the Careage will meet
them at Newburgh. Write -
