My dear Brother,
I am quite curious to know how you like
this winter, whether you are keeping Bachellors hall or
whether you have Frances to cheer your fire side
I hope you are not alone & have you escaped the Influenza
we have all had it – but moderately –
We have pretty much given up emigrating in the spring
I see the question of giving the [ Collrs ]
Alternate Text: collectors more salary has
been agitated in Congress - if they do this we must
look to the loaves and fishes –
The whole world of Egg Harbor is crazy with the
affairs of the wreck Geo Canning – not a man to be seen
any more than on General Training all for plunder
Capt – Allyn & his passengers landed here first after
their misfortune & truly (as our Cousin Nathan
it pays one for some years burial in the sands to witness their
happiness & joy on finding themselves in as comfortable
quarters as ours, tho' so plain – the passengers staid two
nights & one day & then went on to Phila Capt Allyn
the Husband of Miss Jane Colden
full 6 feet & well proportioned – I am as good as Anti-M
as ever tho I believe your Cause is losing – yet I don't
believe Jackson
How is L
how is little Fredk & how do you all do, write me if it be but 2 lines & send
us some Antimasonic papers – Piatt
Your Sister in a hurry
