Dr Sir
Enclosed is a Dr of $100 & I wish you to
redeem the above described Lands sold for Taxes
& send me the Certificate of redemtion as soon
as you receive it, so that if there is any mistakes
I can have it rectified before the redemption day
5th May is past; the 50 as are No 83 business is I
believed redeemed see if it is so.
I see by the Washington papers this apporti-
onment Bill is not yet passed upon in the
H & Senate, so that you must have an extra
or a protracted Sessiss Session. by your Letter
I suppose that you & wife are on your
way to Florida today, which is fine clear but
rather cold day here, the ground drying very
farst ^fast^ so that the roads will soon be fine enough
unless snow or rain should unexpectedly
come.
The loss of the Cayuga County Bank is a hard
loss blow on G. B. T

believed they were sure till they heard of their
defeat beyond recovery; James Porter’s
fees Report is scarcly believed & erects great won-
dering that it is so small in amount, it is
said he has not reported his fees as clerk to the
Vice Chancellor Van Derpoel
to be called to report those fees.
It is I believed that the Improvisions in this
County are equal 10 to each party, the Antimasons
gained Scipio & Summer Hill & last Owasco & Con-
quest Sempronius majority reduced to less that ^than^
30, though the average majority ^of Votes^ in the County
is said to have increased in fav of the Regency[ . ]
Reason:
The Regency here are outr ^a^ geous agt. The
C & Empire & agt.Root
as vituperous as usual agt. Antimasons & ^has^ retired[ . ]

it is ^called^ for the 12th Int but I can’t learn that
much exertions are making to get members to
attend; it will probaby be small if not an
entire failure
