Dear S,
The commissioners
new jail in this county wish you to procure a certified
copy of the Law & forward it to me. they say they will pay
you the amount of the expences—
George Rathbone
papers in the case Van Tuyl
get the Costs of the Ejectment suit from Van Schaicks. — If
you have not already seen the Van Schaicks, I wish you
would say to them that Mr Van Tuyl will expect the pay-
ment of the Costs already made and the purchase money
for the 4 acres of land Bostwick holds from him, and
that in case of neglect or refusal on their part to pay it he
has ordered us to commence a suit— If you recollect the
trial you will be convinced that Van Tuyl acted in good
faith, and that Bostwicks survey was so imperfect that
he could not recover— I wish you to keep the papers sent
you & deliver them wh to me— such is Mr Van Tuyls wish.
In relation to the Village charter as I
understand the alterations made on it it can be of
little use for the purposes contemplated, and the
Trustees
ate and also wish that it may not be brought up
in the house until they have an opportunity to
examine it— I think best to let it alone and let
the town authorities licence the grocers, the grocery
establishments are very useful as an offset to the
hypocritical counting rascals who have opposed
the bill- I am authorized by the trustees to say
that that they do not wish is brought up in the
house until they have had an opportunity to
examine it and they will most unquestion-
ably that it may be withdrawn will
you see to it?
Yours,
A. Worden
