The Com. Pleas is setting this week here
but have done but little; I am told ^that^ John
Porter take talks agt G B T
be sure that all the old inspectors to S. P.
will be reappointed, but Dick Smith
others of G B Ts tell a different story
We had a great fall of snow here yes-
terday & we have grand Sleighing to-day
Mr Beardsley
as then he is wanted almost every Hour
in the office as his letter of the 20th was
recd by Mail last Night by Carey
I leave am glad to hear that Frances
self & Children well, tell Augustus
that I have got the Penny Magazine
for him full of Pictures & tell Frederick
I will have a Pretty little Picture Book
for him when he comes home
