Dear Henry
We are thankful for the items
of news you furnish us from Florida:
although grieved at the loss our
Goshen Cousins have sustained.
Today we received a/c current
from Batavia—but as yet we have
not had time to examine or compare.
It comes in good time.
Today we extended two articles
& made 10 Bonds & Mortgages: but
have taken less than $400—less than
$200 yesterday. —Collectors are
occupying us a good deal—we
only pay upon full examination &
immediate charge of items on the land.
I sent something over $5.000
to Batavia a few days since.
Come—as soon as you feel willing
—and bring Frances
be delighted to see you both. Come.
B.J. Seward.
