Auburn Wednesday morning 27
My dearest Henry,
I have this morning received your
letter from Albany. As there is a letter here for
you which Worden
Birth: 1797-03-06 Death: 1856-02-16
wishes to have forwarded immediatelyI will direct to Albany. There is also a letter from
Alvin Plumb
Birth: 1802-06-09 Death: 1877-08-31
which I do not think it necessary to send but will copy one sentence "A.H.T.
Birth: 1793-06-17 Death: 1859-09-12
is much engaged in the interest of F.G.
Birth: 1792-12-01 Death: 1868-08-31
the reasons which he urges arehis (F.G.) relations to the party in times past, and the
political effect if not nominated, these reasons are cal-
culated to make an impression and their force is no
way diminished when enlarged upon by T____"
How inexpressivly base and contemptible T___'s conduct
must appear to all who know the motive which really
influences him. I am thankful dearest that your
magnanimity places you beyond the reach of such
malice. We are all well–I have been ironing
three hours this morning which I have not been able
to do before in seven years–you see how well I am.
Of course we have no maid yet–have had two engaged
one Irish and one a lady of colour–both disappointed
me. We talk of going to Camillus Friday–I hope
