My Dear Friend Mr Seward
I thought you would be anxious to hear
from your Parents so I take uppon myself to drop you a
few lines. Pas fever [ keps ]
Alternate Text: keeps about him, yet he is so week he
can scarcely walk the room he has no appetite at all
he is so thinn, annd takes cold so easy he has had a very
severe turn of Pain in the side since I wrote to you,
he thinks there is but a poor chance for his recovery.
Ma remains very feeble yet her health is very —
delicate altho she goes about is not confined to her
bed.
I have so much to do I have not had time to write
to any of the family but yourself, will you please com-
municate it to Jennings

whenever you can make [hole] convenient.
